WHAT: The Grand Opening of SPARC McLean Clubhouse at the Old Firehouse TeenCenter

WHEN: Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2011, 9:30 a.m.–11 a.m.

WHERE: Old Firehouse Teen Center, 1440 Chain Bridge Road, McLean,Virginia 22101

WHO: McLean Community Center (MCC) Governing Board members, MCC Executive Director George Sachs, Old Firehouse Teen Center (OFTC) staff and other invited guests will celebrate the grand opening of the newest SPARC location in FairfaxCounty.

Specially Adapted Resource Clubs (SPARC) provides dynamic, enduring, learning opportunities for adults with life-long disabilities in a community setting. This non-profit organization, in partnership with Fairfax County Community Recreation Services, Therapeutic Recreation Division, gives club participants the opportunity to make self-directed choices. Participants may choose to perform daily jobs, contribute to club entrepreneurship projects, participate in guided group activities, join in community outings and enjoy music and art therapy.
