Plan your accessible visit

The essentials for getting in the door, in one place. Fuller details are in the sections below.

Accessible entrance
The main entrance on 21st Street NW is wheelchair accessible, with a second accessible route near the H Street NW corner. Volunteers are stationed at both.
Accessible parking & drop-off
GW’s ADA-compliant garages ($24/day) are the closest option — the Student Center Garage is directly across H Street from the venue. Prefer not to self-park? GW Hospital valet (flat $25/day) lets you hand the car off at the door.
Step-free Metro route
Foggy Bottom–GWU (Blue / Orange / Silver) is elevator-equipped and about 0.2 miles from the venue over step-free sidewalks with curb cuts. Check elevator status before you travel.
Restrooms
On the first floor (off the lobby) and the lower level, both reachable by elevator.
Sensory space
SPARC’s MEL sensory van is parked by the main entrance all day — ask any volunteer.
ASL
An ASL interpreter will be present throughout the program.

Area Map: Parking, Metro & Food

The nearest Metro station is Foggy Bottom–GWU (Blue, Orange, and Silver lines). The station is elevator-equipped and about 0.2 miles from the venue, along step-free city sidewalks with curb cuts. If you are driving, GW’s visitor garages are ADA-compliant and cost $24 for the day — they accept credit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Wallet only (no cash). Street parking around the venue is metered with a 2-hour limit on weekdays, so a garage is a better choice for the full-day program. DC’s red-top meters are reserved for vehicles displaying a disability placard or tags.

If you would like a guaranteed space, two commercial garages a block from the venue can be reserved in advance through ParkMobile or ParkWhiz — use the reserve links on the map or in the parking list below.
